Interview with Alex Langshur, President of PublicInsite

Spread the love

I had the opportunity to sit down recently with Alex Langshur of PublicInsite.com. Alex shares his thoughts on metrics for government and not for profit organizations – what differs from a typical ecommerce conversion path and how user goals differ between these sites.

Alex will be speaking the upcoming eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit in Toronto on March 29 – April 1, 2009.

    Thanks OneDegree and Alexa for interviewing Alex. Great interview, Alex!
    Just wanted to provide links to tools Alex mentions in the video:
    Hosted by Vendor (i.e. vendor stores for you):
    * Google Analytics http://www.google.com/analytics/
    * Unica NetInsight On Demand http://netinsight.unica.com/products/NetInsight_OnDemand.htm
    Hosted In-House(i.e. you store on your own Web servers) for privacy reasons:
    * Google’s UrChin Software http://www.google.com/urchin/index.html
    * Unica NetInsight On Premise http://netinsight.unica.com/products/NetInsight_OnPremise.htm
    Not trying to sell Unica here by any means, but for education reasons, if you’re interested, Unica compares the differences of both on this page http://netinsight.unica.com/products/Deployments.htm.
    And if you want to discuss further, join me at the Toronto eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit (shameless plug again for the Summit), where this topic will be discussed at the “Candid Talk on Selecting your Web Intelligence Tools” Roundtable.
