Toronto usability group Toronto Interacts has a new event called “Accessible Websites, A Route to Usability and Profit” happening on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm with a networking reception to follow.
The workshop is being held at the Design Exchange, 234 Bay St. Toronto (Google
Maps location). The event is free for premium members, $45 for non-members online and $60 at the door.
This workshop is an opportunity for everyone involved in design and usability to upgrade their understanding of the accessibility and receive practical advice for improving accessibility. Our speakers address:
- accessibility is not only about people with disabilities but is also good business;
- the accessibility legal framework; and
- issues in specific design techniques (e.g., AJAX, Flash, search engine optimization).
