Record Canadian use of Interac e-Transfers in 2018

Canadians used digital money transfer service Interac e-Transfer more than one million times per day last year.

In a news release on Tuesday, Interac said it experienced record numbers in 2018 – more than 371 million transactions worth a total of more than $132 billion, representing a 54 per cent increase in volume and a 45 per cent increase in value over 2017.

Wacom’s Pro Pen slim is here to alleviate your hand cramps

Wacom announced the launch of its Pro Pen slim today, which has 8,196 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt recognition, and an eraser. The company says it was created in response to designers and digital artists who have requested a slimmer pen. The new pen is thinner than Wacom’s current Grip Pen, and is designed to emulate the feel of brushes and pencils.

Apple Plans on Combining iPhone, iPad, Mac Apps by 2021

Apple Inc. wants to make it easier for software coders to create tools, games and other applications for its main devices in one fell swoop — an overhaul designed to encourage app development and, ultimately, boost revenue.

The aim of the multistep initiative, code-named “Marzipan,” is that by 2021, developers will be able to build an app once and have it work on the iPhone, iPad and Mac computers, people familiar with the effort said. That should spur the creation of new software, increasing the utility of the company’s gadgets.
