When I recently purchased some songs via “iTunes”:http://apple.com/ca/itunes my e-mail receipt came with a link asking me to review one of the tracks.
I’m always surprised that sites (particularly commerce sites) don’t make better use of e-mail and “thank you” pages to get customers more involved in the community aspects of their services.
Note that Apple also wisely does some subtle visual up-selling with the “those who bought your selections also bought” sidebar.
