Canada Well Represented in Web 2.0 Sweepstakes

While Canuck firms might not be getting as much coverage on “Techcrunch”:http://www.techcrunch.com and other Web 2.0 watchers as silicon valley dotcoms, that doesn’t mean the Great White North isn’t pushing out its own upstart start-ups.
“BarCamp Toronto”:http://barcamp.org/TorCamp “instigator”:http://www.onedegree.ca/2005/10/28/5-questions-for-david-crow-instigator-torcamp “David Crow”:http://davidcrow.ca/ has done a great job of rounding up links to any Canadian company with a whiff of 2.0 about them.

Adtech Impact Coming To Toronto

I’m not sure how I missed this, but popular online marketing event “ad:tech”:http://www.ad-tech.com is bringing their killer one-day “ad:tech Impact”:http://www.ad-tech.com/impact/agenda.asp?subevent=4 event to Toronto on March 23rd.
The speaker roster is pretty much entirely US imports (other than Jerry Tarasofsky, Howard Firestone and Daniel Taras of “iPerception”:http://www.iperception.com, but that is also an advantage as we’ll get to hear some speakers that don’t normally venture this far north.
