If you take a close look at the screen capture above you’ll notice that beneath these results for Statistics Canada there are four links to “English – Français – Important Notices – Avis importants”.
It seems that Google is now offering direct links to key areas of some sites from within the search results.
Very cool.
I’ve only managed to find a few such as this Google search for “United States Government”:http://www.google.com/search?q=united+states+government. Note that searching for “Government of Canada” doesn’t yield the result even though Statscan did. The code in the URL string that seems to control these is “si=”.
Has this been happening for a while or is this new? Anybody know what this new (at least to me) feature is called?
