Viral Privacy Violation?

A sex appeal test making the rounds via email raises ethical questions about privacy violations in viral marketing.

The basic premise – email your friends a personalized link to take a test measuring their sex appeal. Once they submit their responses, the results of the test – including the specific answers they provide – are emailed to…you!
Which is where the privacy concerns come in. The questions are pretty racy and the target has no idea what’s going on until it’s too late. Ok – so most people will get the link from someone they know well and who’s actually going to complain to the privacy commissioner, but it does raise the question of how far is too far with viral marketing campaigns. Let me know what you think.
